The world’s most beautiful beaches now have another exciting attraction to enjoy. Miracle Strip amusement park opened Saturday, March 6th at Pier Park! The park offers retro-style rides, games and fun for the whole family! We’re happy to welcome Miracle Strip to our playground in Panama City Beach!
During the next month, Edgewater Beach & Golf Resort will be hosting thousands of college students that are converging on Panama City Beach - not just for fun in the sun, but as part of an effort to help Haiti’s earthquake victims. Through Campus Crusade for Christ’s annual Big Break outreach conferences, spring breakers will have a hands-on opportunity to help prepare and pack meals for one million Haitian earthquake victims.
Vice president of sales and marketing for The Resort Collection, Paul Wohlford, organized the inaugural Run for the Redfish 5k half marathon and Kids Fun Run at Pier Park in December 2009. That event had more than 600 runners and 19 states represented!.This year Paul is organizing another, bigger marathon! Stay tuned for more details…
We were privileged to host the 2010 U.S. Army Medical Evacuation Conference (AMEC) at Edgewater last week! From February 22nd to the 26th, leaders from the Army Medical Department and Aviation Branch came out to address personnel, equipment, doctrine, training, and operational issues in the medical evacuation system, both ground and air. Plus, they brought some pretty cool toys! Our staff had the opportunity to meet with several of the Army officers and take some photos next to their helicopters that we thought you would enjoy!
