PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. -- The Resort Collection of Panama City Beach is proud to name Robert Owens as vice president of rooms operations. Owens’ responsibilities include managing front desk operations, housekeeping, rental services, trams, shuttles and pool decks for all five properties situated along the Gulf of Mexico as part of The Resort Collection of Panama City Beach.

Bringing more than 14 years of hospitality experience, Owens most recently served as front office manager for the Waterfront Marriott. His experience also includes director of sales for Hilton Oklahoma City and Sheraton Oklahoma City, assistant general manager for the Westin and general manager La Quinta suites Oklahoma City. During his career, Owens is credited with establishing a central registration center for seven properties and opening the new suites proto-type for La Quinta Inns and Suites. Owens received the General Services Administration Special Recognition for helping in the aftermath of the Oklahoma City Murrah Building bombing.
